On the Open Space week commencing 7 December 2020
Unfortunately we have been advised that the large tree adjacent to the access track should be removed.
In recent weeks the top branches of the tree have been removed and the lower trunk is due to be felled week commencing 7 December. Additionally maintenance work will be carried out on a number of other trees on the Open Space to support them to thrive in future.
It is not the policy of the Parish Council to reduce the number of trees in Tollerton and as a founding signatory to the Tree Charter we have invested in additional trees in the village whenever suitable sites are identified.
Two or three replacement trees will be planted on the Open Space in the new year to make up for the loss of this tree.
