Parish Council Finance

On an annual basis (during December) Tollerton Parish Council consider and set a budget.  This sets out how the Parish Council is planning to spend money in the next financial year (the financial year runs from April to March).

On the basis of this budget the Parish Council then set a precept.  This is collected by Rushcliffe Borough Council with the Council Tax and is the main source of income received by the Parish Council.  

The 2020/21 Annual Governance & Accountability Return for Tollerton Parish Council was approved at the Parish Council meeting held on 5th May 2021 following review and verification by an independent internal auditor. The external auditor, PKF Littlejohn LLP, completed their external audit on 27th Sept 2021 and concluded on the basis of their review of Sections 1 and 2 of the Annual Governance and Accountability Return, in their opinion the information in Sections 1 and 2 of the Annual Governance Return is in accordance with Proper Practices and no other matters have come to their attention giving cause for concern that relevant legislation and regulatory requirements have not been met.

The May Annual Parish Meeting for residents is open to all to attend and is an opportunity to hear about key village information and news.
