The National Association of Local Council’s (NALC) Star Council Awards are the only awards in England that recognise the local (parish and town) council sector’s positive contribution to its communities.

Winning a Star Council Award gives national recognition for the great services provided to communities in these challenging times and with 9,000 parish councils in England, Tollerton Parish Council is ecstatic to be to a Star Council finalist.

It’s now over to residents to vote for the winner, which is no easy feat for Tollerton being a small Nottinghamshire village up against big Town Councils, but we are proud to be in the finals nonetheless and an award would not only be in recognition of the parish council’s hard work but also for the communities’ hard work too who get involved with the parish council projects – e.g. helping to save the village pub, which is now a community pub, and getting involved in working groups to organise village events, neighbourhood planning, etc.

More information on our entry can be found here (Voting will run from 26 July to 23 August 2021):
