Annual parade through the village and gathering at the war memorial for an act of remembrance and service at St Peter’s Church

Remembrance in Tollerton 2018

Remembrance Sunday falls on Armistice Day this year which will mark 100 years since the end of the Great War.

The annual act of Remembrance will start at 10am at St Peter’s Church, followed by the laying of wreaths and a 2 minute silence by the war memorial.

The act of Remembrance will be proceeded by a parade along Tollerton Lane at approximately 9.45am.

Uniformed groups will assemble for the parade on Medina Drive at the corner of Tollerton Lane as instructed by their leaders and/or officers.

Notice of Road Closures

Please note that Tollerton Lane will be closed from the junction with Medina Drive to the junction with Cotgrave Lane.

The closure will be in place from approx 9.45am – 11.10am (with re-opening during the service at St Peter’s). Please do not park along the parade route around the war memorial

Access will be available from Cotgrave Lane as far south as Tollerton Hall.  There will be no through route during the parade, service or act of Remembrance

Diversions are via Tollerton Lane and the Lings Bar Road.  Tollerton Lane will re-open fully afterwards.
