With a thriving gardening club, busy allotments and plenty of home growers we know there is no shortage of fresh fruit and vegetables in Tollerton. But what to do with the excess? We may have the answer… a fruit and vegetable exchange!
Its simple to use. We’ve provided a Market Stall in the village centre outside the Parish Rooms:
- if you have an abundance of spare fruit or vegetables or plants you bring them along and swap them for something else on the stall or leave them there for someone else
- or visit the stall, pick the fruit and veg that you need and leave a donation in the honesty box (and if the honesty box is not there then just bring a few coins another time)
You can visit the stall at any time but if possible please try to brings items fresh on a Saturday morning
Any funds raised will be distributed to good causes in the village by the Tollerton Community Trust. Excess produce will be offered to the Air hostess.
