The Parish Council is saddened to learn of the recent death of Dame Liz Fradd, Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Nottinghamshire and a resident of Tollerton for over 30 years.

Liz was active in many aspects of village life in Tollerton. She regularly met with parish councillors to champion improvements and public safety, and as Chair of the Tollerton Village History Group.

In her roles with the Lord-Lieutenancy, Liz regularly supported events in the village including the Proclamation of the Accession and the annual act of remembrance. Liz was High Sheriff of Nottinghamshire for 2020/21.

Outside of the village her roles included commissioner on the Midlands Engine Health Inequalities Post Covid Commission, Vice-Chair of the UK children’s charity Together for Short Lives, membership of Southwell Cathedral Council and Nomination Committee and clinical advisor to Nourish.
