£23,398 – £25,591 pro rata – 14 hours a week

Tollerton Parish Council is seeking an executive officer to manage the Council and a number of exciting projects to bring improvements across the parish.  You will help us raise funds and manage our budget to support implementation of the Parish Plan and other improvements sought by the parish council.

You will have experience managing people or projects and will lead a small team as the senior officer of the Council.  You will manage the contracts for a number of key local services including maintenance of open spaces across the parish, support the Council to establish the Tollerton Community Trust and work with the community to develop the Tollerton Neighbourhood Plan.

Some elements of the role will be those traditionally associated with a parish clerk and you will support councillors to make decisions and will be responsible for making sure that the Council acts within its powers. Full training and support will be provided in this aspect of the role with the opportunity to gain a relevant qualification.

This is an interesting and varied position with flexibility to work from home.  Attendance is required at approx. 12 evening meetings per year, and at other meetings arranged as necessary throughout the year.  The meetings usually take place on the 1st Wednesday of each month.
