We’ve got a new partner to help us to improve the village flowers and planters

As part of our work to improve Tollerton through the Tollerton Community Plan the Parish Council  is working to

  • increase and improve the village planters
  • increase daffodil planting throughout the village
  • introduce wild flower on some of our grassy corners
  • add some colour and fruit to the Open Space
  • brighten up unloved corners of the village

We have now brought in a partner – Trees and All Things Green – to help us to maintain and improve flowers and planting throughout the village.

Kev and the team have experience looking after wild flowers in the parish as part of a contract at Spire Hospital. They will now be working with the wild flower meadows in the village too. Trees and all things green will also provide weeding, including around the car park at the Open Space and watering of plants during the drier months.

The village planters will receive regular tlc and have consistent summer/winter themes during the year.

Community Bulb Planting – Autumn 2020

Would you like to see more dafodils in Tollerton next Spring?

We’re organising a community bulb planting weekend or “Dafodil Day” in autumn to drastically increase the dafodil blooms in Tollerton in 2021.

The Parish Council will source the bulbs and provide a map of where to plant.

You just need to provide some time and a trowel.
