Updated 23.03.20: Details of our community response to COVID19 and how you offer and receive help.

The Parish Council is following the advice and rules set by Government and applying this locally. We are also coordinating support for residents:

Advice at 23/03/20

“When we reduce our day-to-day contact with other people, we will reduce the spread of the infection. That is why the government is now (23 March 2020) introducing three new measures.

  1. Requiring people to stay at home, except for very limited purposes
  2. Closing non-essential shops and community spaces
  3. Stopping all gatherings of more than two people in public

Every citizen must comply with these new measures. The relevant authorities, including the police, will be given the powers to enforce them – including through fines and dispersing gatherings.

These measures are effective immediately. The Government will look again at these measures in three weeks, and relax them if the evidence shows this is possible.

Help for Tollerton Residents

Many residents will have family and friends who can help when self isolating, but for some they will need help obtaining essentials.

If circumstance deteriorate, those who currently have help may find that their helpers also need to self isolate and so more support will be needed

In the first instance friends and neighbours should try to help each other.

If you or your neighbour needs additional help please contact the parish council

Anyone able to offer help please contact the parish council and we will try to put you in contact with those needing assistance

We will maintain a list of all those available to help and co-ordinate support to those needing it. If you start providing help and have to stop please let us know
